Widely recognised as the UK’s leading Oriental grocer, Wing Yip needed an internal platform to align their four sites and connect their deskless workforce.
It was clear there was an issue with internal communications at Wing Yip. With four large stores located in Birmingham, Manchester, Croydon and Cricklewood, Wing Yip had no way to align these stores together to create a consistent structure. There was no central hub for employees to access and share information and no place for employees to interact with each other socially.
Although having an intranet previously, it was only available to desk-based employees which accounted for less than 25% of the workforce. With a clear divide between their desk-based and deskless employees, Wing Yip needed a tool which would be accessible to all colleagues and ultimately improving their internal communication and aligning their workforce.
Initially, Wing Yip had shortlisted three different intranet providers, but the intuitive and easy to use software bowled them over.
