Webinar

The Credibility Gap: How HR and Internal Comms can prove the impact of employee experience and turn insight into influence, credibility and performance at work.

Streamed live on 18th March 2026
Speakers
Jennifer Sproul Chief Executive Officer, Institute of Internal Communication
Nick Hollis Head of Engagement, Burger King UK
Eva Armit Manager, Customer Engagement, Oak

Credibility is still a defining challenge for internal communications. For too long, internal comms functions are often seen as a ‘nice-to-have’. But in reality, we know that internal comms teams are instrumental in driving change and ultimately providing results that positively impact wider business outcomes.

Whether internal comms sits under HR, communications or people teams, experiences are largely familiar in that internal comms is still often regarded as a vehicle to simply push out corporate updates. Leadership needs to understand the impact that internal comms has on their key resource: their people – from productivity and efficiencies to progression and retention.

What we cover

  • Explore the results of our exclusive research into credibility and influence in internal comms and HR
  • Practical tips to have true influence in your organisation – shifting from broadcast to a strategic partner and advisor to the executive team
  • Real-world examples from Burger King UK’s success – from reduced employee turnover and improved productivity to enhanced efficiencies
  • Uncover insights on the wider industry from the CEO of IoIC, who understands first-hand the credibility and influence that internal comms functions deserve
