Our approach has always been to create simple tools to provide employees with a unified view into their work regardless of the application they’re using so they’re more productive, informed and engaged.
How Oak works with Office 365
Office 365 is a suite of tools which include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and many other apps. As a Microsoft Gold partner for over 10 years, Oak is specially designed to integrate with Office 365 and provide a cohesive collaboration experience for you and your company.
See personal calendars through Oak’s Calendar App. Automatically synchronise events, document reviews, reminders or employee reviews and stay on track of important daily tasks.
Need to contact a colleague through Skype? Check their online status through their Oak profile and start a chat or video conference call with them either through your smartphone or desktop.
OneDrive and Office 365 Documents
Upload and link directly to OneDrive and OneDrive Business on Oak to create and manage your Office 365 documents. Set tags with revision numbers and review date with reminders synced with your calendar. All synced content is then automatically indexed and searchable through Oak’s Search.
Search for Office 365 Content Within Oak
All Office 365 content including SharePoint, Teams, Microsoft Plans, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and PDF documents, emails and files, are automatically indexed and available from within Oak’s Search. Employees only see results they are authorised to access.
Oak and SharePoint
Oak tightly integrates with SharePoint Online and Office 365, allowing you to better leverage what you already have, and provide your employees with a rich work experience.
- Search across all SharePoint Sites and return any authorised documents you are entitled to view through Oak.
- Browse your SharePoint site structure and link directly to any content within Oak. Set up the “mention functionality” to instantly hyperlink a SharePoint document.
- Tag any SharePoint document and access it from the Oak’s Tag Cloud App. Manage the different revision versions and be notified when a document is due for review.
- View and edit SharePoint documents directly from within Oak and set a Mandatory Read to ensure people have read the content.
Microsoft Azure & Security
Oak, like Office 365 and SharePoint, is hosted on Microsoft Azure providing global standards for security and privacy, compliance, and peak performance.
Oak supports Single Sign-On (SSO) and OAuth authentication with SSL encryption. Along with the secure authentication and synchronisation of profiles with Active Directory either on Azure or on-premise.
Synchronise all Oak user profiles with Active Directory Federation Services where people can use their existing Windows credentials to log into Oak. Even set up an automatic SSO so your staff can automatically sign-in without having to enter their login details manually.
