We had the pleasure of hosting this month’s Agile North East meet-up at the home of Oak, Generator Studios.
If you haven’t heard of Agile North East before, it consists of a monthly meet-up that brings together the software developers of the North East to discuss Agile Development Methodologies.
On this month’s agenda was ‘The DevOps Ball Game’. The session aimed to demonstrate the benefits of Dev Ops through an interactive session that made sure everyone was involved. As you can see from the video below, it was most certainly a case of ball game by name and ball game by nature.
The session was led by Agile coaches, Stephen Mounsey and Steve Langstaff, who had no problem in drawing in the audience with their energetic approach to discussing the benefits of closing the divide between dev and ops.
Luckily, the final backlash of Storm Ciara didn’t deter many Agile folk, with an impressive turnout of around 30 people and the interactive session attracted a load of positive reviews. One of Oak’s own, Neil Pendlington, said: “The session involved more audience participation than any other meet-ups I’ve attended before, which provoked some interesting discussions.”

We would like to thank Agile North East for choosing Oak to host their meet-up and look forward to hosting many more in the future.
